Columbus, Ohio Is Boycotting ESPN's College GameDay This Saturday And I Fully Support It

Alright so two of the top three college football pregame shows will be live in Columbus this weekend for the #2** Ohio State vs. #9 Penn State game….

Oh baby! Not to mention the Big Ten Network Tailgate Show will also be there. I know all eyes are always on Ohio, but it really will be the epicenter of sports on Saturday. Anybody who’s anybody will be in town (including me). But having so many options really wears you thin when trying to plan out how you’re going to make it to every stop along the way. Luckily, the good people of Columbus have already figured it out: they’re boycotting ESPN this weekend.

I mean I could go on and on and on and on. That GameDay tweet has 375 replies of Ohio State fans telling them to stay home this weekend. The fact of the matter is that ESPN has had a clear and constant hatred of Ohio State, while showing a non-stop, perpetual bias towards the SEC. And now just because we have the biggest game of the weekend, they think they can come in and be buddy-buddy with the crowd? Not a chance. I don’t care if Kirk Herbstreit is a former Buckeye, there’s a bigger name in town this weekend:

And honestly, forget the dishonest and immoral way that ESPN covers Ohio State football, the fact that Urban Meyer is going to be on the opposite end of the stadium for Saturday means that EVERYONE is going to go to that one. I’m interested to see how ESPN makes it look like a full house when there’s 4 people in the crowd. They should just choose another game for this weekend before it’s too late. Maybe Western Carolina at Alabama? Or Samford at Auburn?
